I've only watched the first in this three part history, but as the Telegraph says, 'if only BBC Two would show more proper history documentaries like this'. This really is the BBC at its best!

Blimey if anyone is reading - - it starts at June 1940

(they didnt rise before then apparently - ) and deals with the invasion of Russia. Color footage not needed if you get my meaning

Russia lost 29 000 000 men ( Germany army killed the russian army of 1 000 000, ten times over) and now you get the German Chancellor going to russia and ....

"Rise of the Nazis" premiered in September 2019, and the first 3 episodes dealt with Hitler's coming to power, and how the nazis consolidated their grip on Germany in the early thirties.

this week's programme was episode one of series two, and focused on the build up to, and first year of, Unternehmen Barbarossa, germany's invasion of the soviet union, which was launched in June 1940

I'm sure I've seen something like this before. It was about Hitlers rise pre-WWII. Gonna see if its on catch-up.
