Radio 1 have played a cover version of Talk by Coldplay a few times recently, a sort of jolly version. Does anyone know who this is please?

They may have played the original by Kraftwerk. As the main theme to Talk is a cover of Kraftwerk's 'Computer Love' song released in the 80s. If you have the X&Y CD then all well as Coldplay, all Kraftwerk band members are also credited on Talk.

Thank you quietman but I think it was also done by someone else very recently. It's a sort of jokey version, with Chris Martin's singing replaced by someone err, more cheerful sounding. The instrumental track is also upbeat. I heard last heard it on the Chris Moyles show about a week ago, I think they said it was downloadable from a website.
moyles has a habit of 'covering' songs himself - was it him maybe ?

Thanks Matt but no, it was definitely another band (I think they do "fun" cover versions). Incidentally, I heard Chris Moyles singing with Charlotte Church on the Christmas day show and I thought he was quite good.
I'm hesitatn on this, but is it Me First & The Gimmie Gimmie's...it depends on what you mean by Jolly - they've a got a strong punk sound...
