I Am Supposed To To What I Am Told

Hi
Sorry if I'm posting in the right place but it is about music (kind of!?)
I got an Ipod Nano for Xmas and I cannot do anything with it and I am now starting to hate it!
I have installed the Itunes disk into my computer. And thats it! Nothing else happens. There is no icon to click on or anything! What do I do? Where has it gone?
Please help as I'm travelling tomorrow to see my parents for the new year and 9 hours travelling is going to need some music!
Thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.There should be an itunes icon on the desktop. There should also be an itunes menu item under the programs menu available from the start button - (i'm assuming your using windows but you didn't say).
If you can't find either of these I would try reinstalling the software, but as a last check you could stick a music cd into the drive which may start itunes automatically depending on which options you chose when you installed it. Good luck.
Has the iTunes software installedon your machine - did it take you through the insatllation procedure correctly?
If not (my system sometimes does same) go to 'Start' then 'Run' then 'Browse', then look on your CD drive for an install.exe or a setup.exe file - select and run this, you should then be ok.
I'm assuming you have the right spec PC, and followed the instructions NOT to connect the Nano to the PC before installing the software?
