Bbc Quiz : Week 36

I managed a fairly decent start this week, with FIVE out of seven in the main quiz:

Sadly, there’s no Timed Teaser again this week. It might have come to an end but there’s also a possibility that the setter might simply be on holiday for a while. So I’ll keep looking for it in future anyway.

However I’ve found a ***FUN BONUS QUIZ*** on Aunty Beeb’s website for you all to try this week. (As with many previous bonus quizzes, it’s part of BBC Bitesize). I scored FIFTEEN out of 25 on it:

A score of 2 is at least 'passable' (and a lot better than some people here, including me, often manage anyway)!

Thanks for having a go at the bonus quiz. I found it rather fun (even though I needed to use quite a lot of guesses too!)

Good evening, not too bad this week-5,4,14 though I have to say there were a lot of lucky guesses! An aggregate of 23, by my reckoning.
I'm afraid I'm finding the heat a bit too much but it won't be here for ever.

I hope that you'll be able to make the most of the good weather. I'm going to be helping to man an amateur radio club stand at a 'Classic Car & Military Vehicle Meet' on Sunday, so I'm expecting to see (and feel) a lot of the sunshine!

I enjoyed the extra quiz thank you for adding it.
Had a lovely afternoon at the local garden centre where they were selling off large colourful plants for only £1 each (as they are putting out the Christmas stuff!!) I made most of the good fortune and bought a large box full which are now planted up and brightening up my garden. Then while driving home I saw that a neighbour had put out a wheelbarrow full of free cooking apples, so I am looking forward to a homemade apple crumble tomorrow.
I hope you enjoy your day at the Classic Car meet. Hoping all is well with the terrific trio and that they are behaving themselves :-)

Sadly, with my hip as it is, I'm not able to get outside very easily. I was supposed to be getting my replacement on the 22nd but its been postponed due to the drs strike. I am not happy!

Well done too on finding those bargains! (You've just reminded me that I've got a family-size apple pie in the cupboard, which I bought yesterday in Morrisons. It's meant to be consumed by today, so I think that 'm going to be having a very large supper tonight!)

The Terrific (= Troublesome) Trio are all in fine form, thanks, as am I. I hope that you're also well and that you'll enjoy the rest of the sunny weather.

(I'm not particularly interested in classic cars but our radio club chairman has asked for help on our stand on Sunday, so I'll be going along anyway. Yes, it's Martlesham Heath Control Tower Museum where I'll be 'playing radio' on Sunday. (See my link at 2104).

I'm glad to hear that Shady is continuing to be spoilt by you. Chequers, Moonbeam and Tablo get lots of different sorts of cat food and treats but they still look at me as if I'm being cruel to them!

I would have thought that really hot weather ought to be a good excuse to stop gardening! (I hope that you're not aching too much after it all anyway!)
