i want to make some cornbread, but all the recipes need cormeal, polenta or maize flour. where can i buy them?

I'm pretty sure you can use polenta...it's the same thing. The grain might be very slightly coarser but not enough to make a difference.
Even in Barry's link, it says "Also known as maize flour and polenta, corn meal is high in protein and low in fat. It is widely used in Mexican and Creole cuisine."
