Good evening, a very smooth and rapid solve of Doc’s offering as far as the clues are concerned! The Unclueds are a different kettle of fish! I am stuck on three of them and am not sure if I’m on the right track. From the given unclued letters, there are six I cannot account for ( SVGIRF). My outstanding unclueds are:

1a    R?D?E?E?

24a  ?O?E?AN ( COLEMAN )

21d  M?G?O?A? ( MCGOOHAN )

Matakari, Coleman can't be right, you need to use your R and F

21 Yes.

1 He's in the same category as 36 D (and I feel you must have mucked up the letters, I think you should still have a Y, for this one...)

PS A 'smooth and rapid solve' -this was ultra-Matakari friendly!

Foreman?

Yes, NMA.

Many thanks, NACW and nemodarmy, it's done.

Thanks, Matakari.

PS After two very Matakari-friendly puzzles, next week should (I hope) be more challenging, fun, interesting...anything!

SO DOC, CHARM EVELYN, GIRL FROM BBC supposedly provides unchecked letters from the unclued lights. However, having triple-checked my solution there is always a discrepancy. Has anyone else found this, or should I return to the puzzle ?

Mine works for those letters...

The letters which are crossers in unclued aren't included in that group...

Thanks, Roslyn - that explains a lot !
