There are a few films that in my opinion have the same panache as Third Man.

Excellent film.

What always amazed me was that Antos Karas, who played the zither for the signature tune and the incidental music, was discovered by director Carol Reed playing in a bar in Vienna.

He brought him to London and made him director of music for the film, tasking him with writing the score for all the film's music.

A superb film, with brilliant music score.

It is great film - it shows every night in a cinema in Vienna

Which station is it on, can I watch it on Catch Up or is it on Netflix or one of the other channels I don't have?

If you are old enough you may remember a tv series adaption from the 60s starring Michael Rennie as Harry Lime  which was not very faithful to the original, shall we say.

Thanks for telling me where to watch it.

Made in 1949. I bet some of you weren't even born then. 😀

Interesting story New Judge.

the line that all Swiss brotherly love, democracy and peace produced was the cuckoo clock was improvised by Orson Welles, and was wrong.
