A leap? Now that did make me laugh.

wait till the ENI hike kicks in......

Take a look in all the supermarkets me old china, for the last 5 years that i know to they've been getting rid of staff for self service machines.

Evrn the likes of Aldi have done the same.

The supermarkets will tell you the have found other jobs for the staff, no no no, they already had other staff to do the other jobs.

And thats just the food retail, jobs are in general  being replaced with machines. So lets try again shall we. :○))))

What do you suggest GP surgeries replace their staff with, Nicebloke?

when the tealeaf raised ENI she guaranteed job losses and probably won;t actually get much in anyway. What did she think employers would do, pay up and smile? Nope they'll cut jobs and raises.

Well I'm not going to get silly, but on a more serious issue, I went into a big Tesco today, they have extended all the self service area plus 27 out of 30 normal checkouts had part converted to self service. By part converted i mean just turned the till screen around. No staff, checkout yourself.

What a mess this useless incompetent UKGov have created.

It's not just the national insurance, TTT.  The minimum wage has been raised too.  It's a double whammy for the employer - and ultimately the customer - obviously - except the GP surgeries I mentioned have no way of recouping the extra expense.

17:43 expect staff cuts all over me old china.

I am expecting staff cuts all over me old china, it happens every year just after the Xmas fun.

It doesn't happen in GP surgeries, Nicebloke.  The BMJ estimates that 2 million appointments will be lost because of the utter stupidity of this government.

All estimated and hearsay, show me proof if and when it happens.

It's not hearsay, Nicebloke.  GPs will have to meet extra staffing costs - and they have no means of recovering them.  If you knew anything about business you would know what that means - but you don't.

In answer to Nicebloke I see more staff picking for deliveries  than filling shelves and more over all.

The only people i see killing jobs by the thousands at the moment are all the big boys, the ones you appear to think we cant do without. Above is a perfect example, and its happening on a grand scale, why is it happening at all when they are making billions? One word only Greed.

nicebloke: "The only people i see killing jobs by the thousands at the moment are all the big boys" - and what do you think is causing them to do that?

18.12, But you don't? So you keep saying. Carry on saying it because it wont make any difference whatsoever to me or my opinion.

Did you not catch, GREED at the bottom of my last post TTT?
