What's Your Most And Least Favourite Star Trek Film And Why?

Best: WOK, I like the way they used TOS episode space seed as a basis to free Khan and his trive and then map his fury with Kirk to a terrific final act.

Worst: TSFS, I felt they painted themselves into a corner with the death of Spock and had to concoct an implausable way to bring him back.

I enjoyed TOS, the New Generation, DS9 a nd voyager TV series.  But I didn't seem to enjoy the films very much.

I'm bingeing on Voyager currently.

Best. The motion picture I have been fascinated with Star Trek since I saw TMP at The No1 club on base.

Worst. Final frontier what a load of claptrap

ST IV: The Voyage Home, seemed a bit thin to me alright saving the Whales was definately big in the Mid-Eighties, just thought it a bit lacklustre even though does have some humorous moments.

After some thought I'd have to say the reboot 'Star Trek' 2009. At first I wasn't sure how the superb cast would portray them.
Happily pleased unlike a lot of re-boots, the story was good introducing the characters and Nero as a time traveling Bad-ass was all good fun.

fun fact about TVH. In The OS episode the naked time they have to do that cold restart of the Warp engines and end up going so fast that time is reversed. They fix it and get back to normal but right at the end kirk says "we may have to make use of that technique one day!" - hence TVH! Directed by Nimoy of course!

I liked the reboot too that's probably my next favourite after TWOK. "don't move... cupcake"!

Loved the Kobyashi Maru enacted too.

Fun fact, this episode was remade in TNG as "The Naked Now" - where to the delight of Tasha, we learn that Data is "fully functional" and "programmed in multiple techniques"!

My favourite is the Reboot with Chris Pine and Zac Quinto. I agree with others that The final frontier was the worst.
