Music - Nip/Tuck and Emmerdale

I have searched for months to find the name of a haunting sad song featured on both the above programmes within a couple of weeks of eachother. The Nip/Tuck one was either the last episode of Season 1 or the first of Season 2 (can't remember which) at the very end with no dialogue and Troy in a very reflective mood, the same with Zoe in Emmerdale, a couple of weeks before her trial at the very beginning of an episode, just sat thinking in her home. I've had a couple of suggestions but to no avail!!
