Collective Noun for a group of Chavs?
Is there a collective noun for a gathering of chavs?
If not, may I be so bold to suggest a Stain of Chavs, or possibly a Scum of Chavs.
On Saturday I saw one of the largest gatherings I've ever seen - the Stain were outside McCrappy (obviously) generally being loud, obnoxious and downright offensive (again obviously).
A big yee haa to the best suggestion, and a big yaa boo sucks to the person who posts that they are human, and you shouldn't tar them all with the same brush etc etc etc, yawn yawn yawn (there's normally one!).

This was in 10 mins - what would the Stain have got up to in an hour? The mind truly boggles.
So, ZebUK, don't feel sorry for me, I'm perfectly happy, although I must admit I'd be happier if these Stains didn't pollute our high streets by their horrible presence.
So you were never an obnoxious teen flip-flop? Seems you left it until you grew up.
True the behaviour you describe was not acceptable in any way, but did you really have to regail us with information about how much you spent in Monsoon? That just smacked of "look at me, look at me" which is actually exactly the same thing your "stain" of Chavs is trying to do.
Monsoon sell cheap, badly made clothes by the way and the High street is not yours, it belongs to your community of which these people are part, so if you really want to do something about them "polluting" I suggest you find out why they think their behaviour is acceptable and do something about it at a more grass roots level rather than genralising in such a ridiculous way. It's like me saying "Oh look she's got a Monsoon dress on, must be a silly bigot".
Chavalanche - love it.
Where I said there's normally one in my original question, I was clearly mistaken - in this case, there are two chav sympathisers.
But then it occurred to me...the vehemence suggests they are both chavs themselves, albeit chavs with the ability to type, and therefore they can be roundly ignored.
Chavs are the people who wear cheap fake clothing, whiter than white trainers, trackie bottoms tucked into their socks, baseball caps and lots of (blinging?!) gold rings and chains right? Well i have nothing against people looking like cloned muppets. Thats fine. I DO have a problem with them hanging about the streets and shops making me feel intimidated though. In MY experience chavs dont do themselves any favours. The ones ive encountered have been loud, obnoxious and rude. End of.
Going back to flip flops original request i dont have any suggestions but i did like bernardos 'chavalanche'. Whether you like chavs or not, you have to admit that is funny!
Found the following on a site giving the collective nouns for birds. Some food for thought here...
- a siege of cranes
- a mischief of magpies
- a mutation of thrushes
or my favourite...
- a knob of wigeon
Well if a dislike of a group of rude, loud, obnoxious, offensive, violent, threatening people who are the epitome of the 'yob culture' we are experiencing makes me a Daily Mail reader, then I guess I must be........and would much rather be bracketed as such than a hand wringing sympathiser.
I am amazed that people appear to find this behaviour acceptable. Utterly gobsmacked (although I strongly suspect a number of tunes would be changed were they subjected to this behaviour).
