Expensive
Yes it is expensive. We went there years ago. I think at the time the only activity included in the price was use of the swimming pool. Everything else you have to book and then pay for.
Question Author
Can you remember roughly how much the activities were?
can you book the activities in asdvance?
I went to the Longleat one in November. They don't like you leaving during your stay, you can't have your car near you and everything except the main pool was fully booked (remember this was November!). Even if you want to go to the fancy spa thing for a sauna you have to book in advance. And once you're there they won't accept a phone call from your villa to book something, you have to go to a "leisure booking point".
I worked there for an agency as a 'housekeeper' (cleaning chalets and bedmaking). the beds have thin mattresses and one pillow and the beds are tiny little single ones. The chalets themselves are very basic, and unless you can ride a bike, you might as well not go! Everything is so far apart. For the price, I'd rather rent a holiday cottage.
