Has anyone's local bank branch become 'you've guessed it, a trendy wine bar?'

No but I do know of one bank that became a noodle restaurant and another that became a KFC.
Lloyds bank in peterborough has become a Starbucks - is that even worse?
I can think of two banks in Leicester which have become 'trendy wine bars' (well, pubs anyway). One was imaginatively named 'The Bank' and the other was named 'The Mint'.
The Natwest at Riby Square in Grimsby was to become a Wetherspoons, but that never materialised. They still closed the bank tho'. It was still unoccupied last time I went past.

There are lots and lots in London including most famously the Old Bank of England on Fleet St. which is now a Fullers Ale and Pie House.

The Fine Line in Northcote Rd London SW11 used to be a Barclays.
