The Vs and archery!
Does anyone remember an advert which told of the origin of the V-sign (ie swearing)? It arose during the Battle of Agincourt (between the French and English.) When an English archer was captured by the French, they would cut off their index and second fingers so they could not fire their bow. So in an act of defiance the English upon seeing the French would triumphantly hold up these two fingers aloft as if to say, HA! : )
I'm trying to find out what the advert was for. I think it was on the radio, not sure if it was ever on TV. Last year or so was when it was broadcast.
Thanks in advance
: )
