What were they called before they were called "Minstrels".

Very annoying quiz question that no one can get! Please help.

A similar question was asked during 2003 but no conclusive answer was obtained.

Thank you all very much for your help!

Great.

hmmmm...I don't think Treets were made by Galaxy (as Minstrels are) Galaxy produced "Counters" which were without a candy coating, and then made Minstrels which were a new product to rival Treets.
I think Treets may have been made by Mars, and can now only be seen in the mixed up world of Revels.
Treets were brilliant, chocolate, peanut, toffee, raisin..in a little cardboard box that you poked a hole in the side.

Galaxy is a trading name of Mars aka Masterfoods.

The latter description actually sounds like Poppets!

Definitely Chocolate Treets and they definitely came in bags.

The toffee treets were in a light blue bag, I think Peanut treets were in a yellow bag and chocolate ones in a mocha brown bag but those last two may be the other way round. The toffee ones were my fave hence my intimate knowledge of them!

woofgang was 'milk chocolate that melts in yuor mouth and not in your hand' M&M's?

They still blooming melt in your hand though and turn your hand the same colour as the shell.

They'are all liars!
