I have nothing against rockers who are Christians, but the notion of expressing a faith through a form of music that has as its essence the notions of rebelion and non-conformity seems like a kind of 'If you can't beat 'em, pretend to be like 'em' philosophy, which is not what rock is about.
If you look at the succes rate of Christian rock music, itr does rather bear out my argument - for every Strryper, there are several hundred thousand Black Sabbaths.
im probably going to annoy people now
i am a Christian who loves rock music anything to do with it.

there is some music in the rock category which comes from non christian bands yet carry an extremely christian message
