Around the eng of June recently, I saw a movie on TV and during the credits, I heard song "Tonight, you belong to me" or I think that was the name of the song. Part of the song was "silvery moonlight". I can't remember which movie it was. Does anyone know what movie it was?
The song is 'Tonight You Belong To Me' by Billy Rose & Lee David (1926). Was the film 'The Jerk'? Steve Martin sings it on the beach with Bernadette Peters, accompanying themselves on ukulele and flugelhorn.
Actually, come to think of it, it was more likely on the soundtrack of Ghost World, sung by Patience & Prudence and overdubbed onto their original 1956 recording.
Thank you for the suggestions. I will check all of them. Im hoping the movie will be played again soon. It was on one of the premium cable channels. The song playing through the credits will probably appear in the credits also.
