Ok, have to admit this is only my theory, but the advert states that there are only four steps to making Becks, so the figures in the ad represent four stages of representing "people" in film/tv - puppet, cartoon, cgi and real. At least that's my understanding.

Sorry, don't know who the guy is but maybe someone else can help you with that.

And, of course, now I have the tune going round in my head!
