is it just me or has everything been voted product of the year? so far i've seen at least 10 adverts for things claiming to be product of the year. surely the point is that there is one product of the year?

They are all genuine "Products of the Year" - usually as voted by readers of "Pan Tene Shampoo Users Weekly" magazine, or "Cillit bang Lovers Monthly" etc etc.

Old and cynical as I am, I totally refuse to believe that it is because the manufacturers of the product in question happen to have a large advertising account with whichever publication is running / sponsoring the "award", and showers the editorial staff with freebies.
