Why do most people just link to this site, when it's usually not up-to-date?

Is is because they can't be bothered to answer?

i wonder if people use this link if they don't know the answer, but still want to be helpful? Ie. by saying try here because i don't know?

i haven't seen anyone link to it lately (not that i look at every post) - i wonder why it's not kept up to date? i've never been on that site, but maybe there is a delay from when the ad comes out to when it gets posted on there?

sometimes no matter where you look you can't find the answer ... i remember that ad for lux with sjp that people were asking about for ages before someone found out. Even answerbank dosen't have all the answers all the time i guess!

Ay tis my site and it is more up to date that certain other similar sites.

I try and get links to downloads and samples (which is the reason for the link) and take a cut of any sales that keeps me in beer!!!!

I aklways include the name of the artist and the song and add the link in case people want to listen to / download / buy the song there and then. I dont think I've ever posted an unqualified link (which seems to be your main gripe and I totally agree with you on that) , unless its to an answerbank answer.
