I think a garage replaced my windscreen wipers
1 Answers
Hi, I need help as to whether my Vauxhall Astra's windscreen wiper motors (or other part) was replaced after a re-spray. I had some damage and so had the car sent to a garage for 4 days but when it came back I noticed that the wipers kept jamming and will only work properly on full power. Can I check the motor serial number to check if it is the right part and year of manufacture? At least i will tell if a different years motor has been used. I presume it is the motor that will cause this problem, unless anyone has any other ideas? I also noticed that a light from the boot is completely missing and could only have been removed by someone. This was obviously a sloppy theft, probably by a mechanic replacing things on his car of for a friend etc. Can you help? I need to know if you can work out the part number of the motor to see if it came with my car originally. Many many thanks in advance.

I did hundreds of resprays on vauxhalls and its usualy when the screen is taken out so they can paint behind it ,also its a possibility that the windscreen fitters have refitted the screen etc
Hope this helps you abit.
