Okay, maybe my brain's short circuited but (to settle a drunken arguement) in the Esure (don't worry dear it's only a commercial) advert, was Michael Winner the star with Julia Foster who is the mum of Ben (Taransay, desert island reality tv, Country File etc ) Fogel. If I'm talking rubbish, blame it on Mr Johnathan Walker's Blue lable.

A quote from esure.com...

In Autumn 2002, esure switched from its previous animated-style TV adverts to a new 'real life' format featuring Michael Winner. The ad is designed to stick in people's minds even if it doesn't win advertising awards!

The ad named 'Driven to Distraction' includes the actress Julia Foster (famous from her 'Alfie' days), which foxed a lot of people who could not quite pin her down! The catchphrase: 'Calm down, Dear... it's a commercial' used in the ad has already gained near-cult status and has been used in a range of TV and radio programmes.

A-hah

I recognised Julie Foster but is it true that she's the mother of Ben Fogel? If so, who's the bad (Okay, stupid question Mr Fogel presumably) is he an actor?

Should read "who's the DAD"

(Note to self: be extra careful when posting after imbibing alcohol)
I believe he is also an animal behaviourist - Bruce that is

My teenage children hate the fact that Ben Fogle is on every programme on tv at the moment- surely there is someone out there with a bit more talent?
