I have a BT line, and am thinking of having NTL Broadband installed.
2 questions: -
1. Anyone had good/bad experiences with NTL/Telewest Boradband?
2. I thought broadband was like dial up where you plug you modem cable from pc to modem/phone socket, but NTL/Telewest say that they install a fiber optic cable. Can anyone explain broadband? BT im sure connect you through phone line

And broadband isn't like dial up. Connection is virtually instant (always on if you have a router), it's faster, and it doesn't tie up the phone.
Can't answer any other questions - I'm with BT.

ntl are awful but they do provide a cheap unlimitied broadband service. if you can bear their horrendous incompetence on customer service then go for it. I have it and the actual service is ok, just the people you have to deal with when something goes wrong are all, well, not the sharpest tools in the shed....
