Old Bud/Beer advert with cover version of Iggy Pop tune!

Going back a long way now, there used to be a beer/Buweiser advert which feature a Native American. The music was a cover version of Iggy Pop's Passenger. Any ideas who did this version?

As far as I know... it was Iggy Pop. Not a cover version at all.

The song was performed much slower, with these native American drums in the background. Kinda different rhythm too.
