Just found this post and I could be wrong big time, and I'm sure Debenhams know the music that they use in their ads. I've just listened to The Ventures (mikeydred's link) and I'm not convinced it is them. I know when I first saw this ad and heard the music I thought, "I've got that somewhere", but it sounds more like the John Barry version to me. Like I say, could be wrong but...
Anyone from Debenhams reading this ?

My money is on the JOHN BARRY SEVEN version. It has a more "jangly" sound than either the Ventures or the Shadows, and the lead guitar sounds much more like the legendary VIC FLICK, who John Barry used later on the original JAMES BOND THEME.

furthe to the above, i have now had an email from debenhams customer services confirming it is the "john barry seven" version of walk dont run.
