Well, the current AA ad has the driver coming out with the same "that's nice, man" phrase...

thats what I thought cully. He does say it in the recent one doesnt he when they are all sat in back with insurance quotes for him

That's true, but it originated about 10 years ago. The ad was a hen pecked husband with bossy wife and I think mother in law having been rescued by the AA man all in the back of a Relay/Rescue lorry.

The wife is nagging on about how useless the husband is never doing anything right etc with the mother in law agreeing whilst saying the AA man is a very nice man for having rescued them (unlike you to the husband).

The AA man looks at the husband pityingly as if to say 'god help you'!.

Th current ads are simply continuing the catchphrase.
