Suggestions on Sub-titles

Afternoon Ed,

Just read your blog and thought I would suggest that subsections are kept in Arts & Literature andBody and Soul but I think that the subsections in Music are awful I have to say. Perhaps we could just have Gigs as a subsection. Also Radio should have it's own heading or the title of Film & TV needs changing.

Please can Science have it's own heading and slot back? I don't think it really fits in with Technology.

I also think that News worked quite well without subsections too.

And I think that perhaps a greetings section under Body & Soul would also be rather nice too.

Can we please have Q&P back to how it was .We now have two lots of crossword thingys running side by side .Or ..just leave it as Quizzes and Puzzles with one sub heading Postal Quizzes and ditch Riddles.

I do agree, but the genealogy sup-section is working fine and growing in popularity, I just don't get why there is a History sub in History, that makes no sense.

I am not using anything like as many topics as i was though and the community is very much dispersed.

Long time no see.

I agree about the community aspect but I suspect that there may be some intention in this. Possibly to reduce chatter... I'm not entirely happy about this but it is just a Q&A site I'm told. ;0)

I thought that I'd try and give some actual suggestions as opposed to just whinge about the sub categories, (which I could do for ages frankly) and maybe Ed will take them on board in the up and comming weeks.

Hopefully more people will do the same.

I second shaneystar2's request for Q & P back as it was. I don't think sub-sections work there, much better as it was. Also Travel & Food & Drink are better without sub-sections. Please.

please may I agree with china's excellent comments 100 %. I actually don't have a clue about the body and soul stuff but she's sticking up for science and that is good enough for me.

Science definitely should not be lumped together with Technology. It is a huge subject in its own right and should be reinstated as a main topic.

These adverse changes have resulted in people posting science questions all over AB. I know perfectly well that this statement may seem illogical bearing in mind that the category is now a sub-heading rather than a main heading, but its perfectly true - postings to the science sub-category have dropped dramatically.

I've got no idea why its happening, but I think we've got to admit that there were numerous daily regular postings in the Science category until these changes were made. Something's got be wrong somewhere.

Please reinstate the Science heading ed.
