Halfords' monkeys ...not!

The current Halfords ad. advises that if we are paying peanuts, they'll give us monkeys, and then they show us a group of chimps. As I recall, monkeys, by definition, have tails, and chimps are aprt of the ape family, so is this a further example of bad information being fed to the public, or do I just need to get out more?

i think you need to get out more, at the moment i am concerned that the grandaprents who e mail a picture of puppies to the proud father (kodak i think) have apparently taken about ten weeks to discover these puppies, they are not new babies at all, i need to get out more too :-)
No Andy I think your correct its about time people shed this misconception about Apes and Monkeys. A Chip as you state is an Ape and not a Monkey I think it is Halfords who are the Monkeys.
