Accessing encrypted iTunes files

I am currently trying to access music on the hard drive from my old notebook (which was password-protected). Roughly half of the music was downloaded using Kazaa, and the other half was my CD collection imported onto iTunes.

Having now taken possession of the drive, I have been able to move the downloaded music to my new notebook but the iTunes music seems to be encrypted and I cannot access it.

All the drivers and other relevant files seem to be present, but I cannot find any music library(iTunes).

It is definitely on the drive as when I click "properties" the difference between the drive capacity and the used space can only be accounted for by the music being there.

Thanks.

How much of it was actually bought from the iTunes Music Store?

And can you remember where you stored the music? It's generally \documents and settings\[username]\my documents\my music\itunes\itunes music.
