No - its the ITC has received a lot of complaints about the ad with many people thinking it to be real. It could be axed if they decide it is distasteful.
I find it impossible to imagine that anyone over 5 years of age could believe that the ad is anything other than a joke. Is this question in the Food & Drink section because someone thinks that the bungee jumper was feeding the croc with his head ? The answer to your question is *yes* the advert is real. The ad was filmed with a real man and probably has film of a real crocodile. If you really meant to ask *does the man get his head bitten off for real* ........ make up your own mind.
Trying to be a bit more polite, the advert is not real. No-one would ever use film of someone having their head cut off and put it in an advert - it simply would not be allowed or acceptable on all sorts of moral and taste grounds. Moreover, if you watch the ad properly you can clearly see where it has been doctored by computer.
Hey, AB ED - when I recently posted an answer that was far, far less rude than sft's above (and, indeed, less rude than some of your own) you gave me a public rebuke, yet I notice you haven't given sft one. Then you have the nerve to tell me that you treat me like any other user. Your actions speak far louder than your words ed.

Hoy spelly....it's the weekend mate...even our erstwhile ed is allowed some time off now and again....and whilst on re-reading the answer again I can see what you mean it was meant to be more sarcastic than nasty....exasperation with daft questions but it wasn't meant to be outright rude.
From what I've seen, the man seems to have received only a slight nip in a fraction of a second - not having his head cut off. It is possible that it might be a genuine VT clip of someone bungee jumping above where a crocodile was. Whereabouts is the film supposedly changed by computer?
It doesn't look as though his head is being bitten off - just a slight nip. I think it could easily have been a real home video of someone bugee jumping, and that it was later used in the advert (rather than being deliberately set up). In what way does the film look as if it has been doctored? I haven't noticed anything.
There's a jump in the film, bernardo, as the crock strikes - look carefully, it is very clear when you catch it. Can't agree about the slight nip though - it's clear his entire head is off! TV specs for you I think!!
Whenever I've seen it I have been concentrating on the crocodile, not the man. I'll have to see if I can look at the man's head next time! :-) Also, they should show it in slow-mo so we can see the editing more clearly.
