Wasn't it "The Addams Family" - the movie version?
It was used as the tagline on "The Fly" (1986), and was spoken in the film by Geena Davis' character. I believe that this is where it entered popular usage. I think it may have been used in the dialogue on "The Addams Family", but that was made in 1991, so it was possibly a pop culture reference.
Almost correct -- It was the tagline in The Fly and was said by Christina Ricci in Addams Family Values
