Nissan Micra maintence reminder???

Hi everyone, i bought my brand new nissan micra last year, had a service from someone not from Nissan, and now the maintance reminder comes up on the screen every time i turn on the car, i press ok and it goes but every time i turn on the car, it comes up again - I cant seem to find this in the manual and I dont in particular want to take it back to nissan wherwe i bought it and say please fix it as I didnt have my serivce there!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.When the service is done, the Service Technician is supposed to link the car to a diagnostic device that allows him to reset such that the car 'knows' the service has been done. Third-party (non-Nissan) servicing companies can buy the equipment necessary to do this, and are entitled to provide service that does not negate the manufacturers warranty - provided they use waranteed parts for the service. You would be well-advised to use such a service provider or you may invalidate your manufacturers warranty. It sounds like your service agent either forgot to do the reset, or hasn't got the equipment. Suggest asking him.
