I'm in the middle of a marketing assignment for university. It involves managing a creative campaign, for part of which we have to provide 'a total recommended budget figure for above-the-line media'. Does anyone know where i can get hold of infomation on general advertising costs; on tv, in magazines, in newspapers etc?
Yes, your University library should hold copies of BRAD which is the industry 'bible' for advertising costs. I had to do the same thing at Uni, it was a great project as I have to do that for a living now. Good luck and if you want any more info, I'll see if I can help.
That's really helpful, i can have a look in the library tomorrow. As you are probably a good person to ask, do you know a "ballpark" figure for the amount of money the government spends on national campaigns for the dangers of drink driving, smoking etc? Or where i could find such info?
