I have been watching a film on ITV4 just now and had to endure at least 12 Adverts for Chatlines for things like "Girls in you area" etc. It was really sickening. I often cant sleep at night but must I endure this. Are there no laws about the amount of similar ads youcan show in one commercial break.

What do other people think. Or am I overreacting?

Annoying are'nt they, then during the day these channels bombard us with ads for IVA's or loans! ABC adverts show the first plus ad with Vorderman in it at every ad break and often twice in one set of ads!
At least the Gay Chatline ones used to be funny. Little weedy bloke doing a camp little dance, while some musclebound bloke pumped iron next to him. Just one Zapata-moustached construction worker away from a full set of stereotypes.

Boobesque mentions the number of loan ads during the day. Add to that the number of compensation company ads - "have you had an accident because you weren't looking where you were going? Want to make someone else pay for your own lack of basic common sense? Call AmbulanceChasersRUs today!" At least the reconstructions of the accidents give me a chance to point and laugh.

HaHaHa. Glad its not just me.
I had forgotten about the Gay ad with the dancing dood.
Cheers for giving me a laugh..

Surely theres got to be a limit to all these types of things.
I had noticed the IVA and Accident ads too but at least they are not quite as offensive as the horrible Chatline ads.

Where are the Ad watchdog people.?
