How do I find out how many bedrooms a house has?
A silly question I know, but I've recently moved and am challenging a council tax banding. My only hope of appeal is that there are 2 identical houses in the same road as mine (although the rest ofthe identical houses are the same band as mine) yet they have a lower banding. As far as I am aware they are the size of the 3-bed and look absolutely identical to mine (as the 2-bed in this street are noticibly smaller).
Do I ring Barratt who built the homes 7 years ago and enquire? Should I Knock at number 41 and risk being told I am nosey or risk panicking my neighbours in case they think their property banding will be increased if it IS The same size/spec as mine? Or is there a site that will tell me the spec on any home/address?
Thanks

Indirectly it does because the concept of bands is based on property values, and property values increase as you have more bedrooms. If the houses in question appear to be the same format on the outside as yours (same fronatge, same depth and windows in the same places) I'd just go for it - asserting the comparison to the two lower band houses. You don't have anything to lose.
