ex wants custody
my hubby has custody of his 2 boys. we have a residence order which states his ex is allowed staying contact fri 4pm till sun 5pm. She allows her mum to have the boys fri till sat 2pm so she only sees them for 24 hrs. She has recently said she is going to give up her job and go for full custody of the boys as she can give them more attention etc (i have 2 kids who also live with us) She says my house is dirty(i am a neat freak !!) and unhygenic as we have 4 dogs and the kids have hamsters. She is also complaining as we live in a small 3 bed house and she says its a shoe box . we are currently extending to 4 beds but it takes time. My hubby is petrified he will lose his boys as i am as i consider them my own. She keeps telling the youngest one he can live with her if he is unhappy and this has resulted in him being very confused, clingy and tearful when he sees her which she takes as a sign he is unhappy at home ! She walked out 5 years ago and the boys have always lived with us. Does she have a chance in hell legally ? Thanks and sorry to waffle on

I have residency of my 2 girls, when my ex took me to court for custody the judge ruled in my favour because they were happy and settled, and the courts favour the status quo unless there are serious concerns about there care.
I would advise you proceed 1st if you can as this will show you are concerned about there care with their mother at the moment. hope this helps.

Hi there,
I have custordy of my 4 children and all a court wants is happy healthy safe loved children, as for what the mother is doing i would personally pip her to the post and go and see my solicitor and explain that she is not having them for the whole time she is alocated and i would also tell the solicitor what she is telling the children and how this affecting the children.I had a similar experince with my ex and once we visited the solicitor it was all noted and used in court against him.
I would also ignor the slagging off about your ways and home that is jealousy and to get you to bite so it can be used against you at a later date.
You sound like you are doing all the right thing so just keep it up and stay strong for the children.
good luck i hope all is well
