Ok most of us know never eat shredded wheat is a way of reminding us of th compass points and this got me thinking can anyone else provide useful phrases for remembering stuff?

I have always found North East South West as an excellent means of reminding me to never eat shredded wheat Boom! Boom!

I used to teach maths. My classes never had any problems remembering the order of Roman numerals because I taught them that Ivy X Loved Cadbury's Dairy Milk ;-)

M= Mule
P= Pig
D= Dog
S= Sheep
H= Horse
A= Ass
G=Goat
Cattle= Cows, bulls, calves etc.

Apart from Badger (which is not part of the Road Traffic Act, as there is a Badgers Act) no other animal needs reporting to the police, not even a little puddy cat

EGBDF and FACE were taught at school as mnemonics for musical notes, I think. Anyway, it is many, many years since I was at school so I may be wrong about notes, but it was something to do with music.
Sorry for the omissions. FACE is self-explanatory, and the EGBDF was Every Good Boy Deserves Favour.
