river island jeans exchange

I bought a pair of jeans from river island yesterday, took the tags off and put them on today, when I looked in the mirror I noticed that someone has scribbled on the back, by the hip in thick blue biro, a patch about the size of my palm. i didn't try them on in the shop as I had previously tried them on. Will river island exchange them, its not as if I scribbled on my own pair of jeans?

if you have the receipt then they definately should whether the tags are on it or not i would have thought they would actually give you a refund i work in a major clothes shop and i know we would. so i dont see you having a problem getting them exchanged.

I bought a top once, took the tag off and was planning on wearing it for the day. It kept rising up especially around my neck and didn't look right. After 1/2 hour or so of wearing it I decided I did not like it so I reglued the plastic tag together that I had cut off and took it back.

You only bought them yesterday, its not as though you bought them weeks ago and left them in your wardrobe to wear on a special occasion. Tell them you did not notice this when you bought them and I am sure a shop like River Island will give you your money back or replace them.
