can someone please please please explain this wierd phenomenon (sorry about that spelling) ive notice within the music industry, relating to rap music. why is it, an artist, like say, 50 cent and The Game for example, before getting signed to a major record company, the lyrics they released on previous record were good, but never flowed, never had that "crunk - club banger" flow. 50 cent especially, his number 1 hit "in the club" is brilliant, the beat spot on, the flow perfection. how does a rapper go from being unable to flow, to a perfect flow? Oddly, Ice Cube seems to have gone the other way, after going solo from the end of NWA, his flow is now off beat and it ruins the sound. Snoop is a rapper been around for ages - he sometimes gets a fluke of a flow, like on that beautiful song, and in recent times, seems to be getting better with it. it seems the songs with a brilliant flow, are the ones that win in the charts! im wondering, are these rappers getting "extra support" by people us normal listeners know nothing about? Eminem also another good example. his first two albums were brilliant, as they were original. notice how songs like "stan" and "the way i am" were the main hits - why? - they flowed. then we move onto curtain call and suddenly every song he does flows with ultimate perfection! his raps scarily in perfect syncronisation with the beat. how did he suddenly get better? lol :P a musical conspiricy! surley someone else must have noticed this!

yer production has a lot to do with it. plus i guess, you meeet other artists, have access to better beats and gain influences from those around you who you may not have noticed before. when many of these artists started out, they were still finding their own sound, but i guess they get advice from ppl like dre who can tell them what sounds good or not.
thats what i think anyway
