I'm on the verge of buying a 2006 Toyota Celica, its the 1.8 premium model and has 18 months warranty left. I just want to ask any current or former Celica owners if they would recommend the car. I currently drive a 1.6 Ford Focus, and while I love the car and the way it drives, I just want something sportier. I've read something about the alloys on Celicas being a bit dodgy and need replacing - any experience of this ?

the alloy wheels buckle very easily.i had to change mine to after market wheels when the car was only 2 years old (52 reg).warrenty did'nt cover the wheels and toyota denied there was any common problem with celica alloy wheels.apart from the alloy wheel problem it's an exelent car.
rated by the media for drive and reliability but i find them a bit "robbie williams"
