What is the daftest thing that you have done recently?

I do lots of really daft things but the other day I was in Liverpool and got a taxi to the office I was visiting and took the telephone number from the side of the door. After my meeting I said I would call for a taxi to take us to our hotel and my colleague was well impressed that I had taken the number.

I rang for a cab, giving the girl on the phone the details and she answered 'Sorry love you have phoned the national quit smoking helpline" LOL

I had phoned the number on their advert which was plastered all over the cab and didnt even realise.

I was shopping in Safeway one Christmas and had real trouble getting a turkey,when I left I used the free phone in the foyer to ring at taxi,instead of saying "can I have a taxi from Safeway please" I said "can I have a turkey from Safeway please".The drivers still take the p**s out of me about it now.lol

On the very same trip, we got back to Wigan Train Station and I looked for our connecting train. I led my colleague down 2 flights of stairs through the underpass and up another 2 flights of stairs and then realised that I had looked up the arrival of the London Euston Train (which we came down on the day before) instead of the Glasgow Central Train FFS!!!!

I just read your post and yes that is silly LOL! I have done that too!!
