Where you ever alowed a drink at crimbo?

When I was a kid we were alowed a half glass of Woodpecker cider and lemonade with our christmas meal!! Used to feel so special and grown up!! the smell of woodpecker cider ALWAYS reminds me of christmas now and always buy a bottle at crimbo just for the nostaglia. Do you have any similar memories??

My sister and I were allowed a Babycham when we were about 12 and we also had snowballs too.

We were talking about this subject on sunday.It was my daughters 14th birthday and we went for a pub carvery.She wanted a WKD.I said i thought 14 year olds could drink if they were having a meal,not that i`d let her anyway cos im a wicked mother.Anyway,my mum-in-law asked the gaffer what the law was.He told us a child of 5 can drink lager as long as theyre having a meal.No spirits but lager.I couldnt get my breath.

No there wasn't drink apart from pops for us at xmas , and mum and dad would have a drop of sherry to bring in the new year .

Advocaat is the yellow stuff, ummm, not sure what it tastes of, kinda got a taste of it's own. And yes, it's what Snowballs are made with, that and lemonade.
