Happy birthday happyjo's mum! Was my birthday on Wednesday. And I'm off to Southport tomorrow too! Going for a wander to see the squirrels at Formby then a spot of lunch in Southport (any recommendations warmly welcomed). Luverly!

For lunch.. depends on what you like... The Warehouse is excellent, not cheap but they do have a set menu for lunches, 17 per head, 2 courses... its a tad trendy, and popular with the local celebs... ( On xmas eve lunch ... we were sat next to Alan Hansen and Kenny Dalglish!!!!)

For something a little less formal, there is Pizzeria Mama Mia... its on lord st next to Woolworths

Or... you could take a trip upto Churchtown and try the Bold Arms Pub, nice food... homely...
