I am convinced that the 'annoyance' factor is built into ads., because it makes them memorable, which is the hwole idea.
OK, on this occasion, you can't remember the ad. subject, but a large proportion of people will, so the ad succeeds in its purpose, getting the product name around.
M&S food adverts - I hate them. they were voted most hated ad a couple of years ago, yet they are still on air. arrgghh - I press mute every time they are on cos I can't stand the supposedly sexy voice over.
