Who sings the version of 'It Must be Love' (originally sung by Madness) on the (i think!) most recent Vodafone advert? The one where the bloke tries to cheer up his miserable girlfriend by dancing to the above song whilst she sits on a bench in the street...

I think someone said here before that it is Labi Siffre (sp?). Madness/Suggs weren't the first to record it - it's much older than that.
Labi Siffre's version (which is the one on the ad) is indeed the original, dating back to 1971 - 10 years before the Madness version.
Labi Siffre's version is what you hear on the advert, it reached No, 14 in the UK charts in Nov1972, the Madness version did a bit better reaching No 6 in Feb 1992.
Actually, Siffre's version was a hit in November 1971, while the Madness version originally reached no. 4 in December 1981/January 1982 before being re-issued 10 years later.
