had a week in the sun. cruising the Canary Islands and a day in Morocco.
loved it, but im a more suited to the groung under my feet than rolling waves.....
i tell ya what though.... as much as Morocco is a lovely sunny place to be, i hated the people !
beggers and con artists around every corner...
the people of the Spanish isles on the other hand, were just as you would expect. helpfull and happy to help, even though i cant speak the language..
but, its all over now.
back to reality !!!!

Hi funky, good to have you back on ab and i''m glad you had a lovely holiday.
I would love to go on a cruise, bit of a dream of mine!
I have never fancied Morocco partly for the reasons you mentioned, bit like Tunisia when i went there, hated it!
Anyway, good luck with adjusting back to reality! :-)

hi Jules.
me and my lad nearly got turned over by a couple of local shop owners. my lad collects flags from each country he visits. we made the mistake of asking in a shop !!!
one guy went to get a flag, unknown to us, and then tried to get 25 euros off us for a flag that would have cost maybe 2-3 in europe.when we told him we only had 10 euros with us, they wanted to take us to our hotel or bank to get more money... back at home we wouldnt have batted an eyelid, but in their country we were in a spot of bother that we didnt need or want !
plus i was offered drugs as we walked along the sea front !!!!
