Big band song used in the 1980 version of
1 Answers
In the 1980 version of the Steven King film The Fog, a beautiful big band song is played as background music at a climactic point in the film. I think Adrienne Barbeau's character is warning the town about the fog on the radio. Anyway, the piece of music uses a clarinet chorous, like a Glenn Miller song. The piece kind of sounds like The nearness of you, but it isn't. I've been trying to identify this lovely ballad for about 30 years! I can't find it on any Glenn Miller record, so it may not be his. The video version of the film doesn't use it, but I've heard it in the TV version & of course, the cinema version. I suspect there may have been a copyright or licensing issue. Can anyone out there help me through the magic of the internet?! A million thanks to anyone who can!
