Moisturiser & Foundation. Beauty tips?
Hi All :o)
Kind of a 2 part question :o)
Can anyone recommend a moisturiser that doesn't leave your skin looking greasy? I have tried the no oil ones like Olay and yet 10 mins after applying my face has a greasy sheen. My skin itself isn't a greasy type I don't think as when I wash, cleanse etc. it I need to apply moisturiser almost straight away otherwise my face goes all tight and dry. I am using Simple's range at the moment.
I seem to have blackheads (urgghh... nothing serious tho) as well.
2nd part of question :o)
Anyone reccommend a decent foundation too? I find my face looks a bit greasy (prob cos of moisturiser) even tho I use a powder over the top too. I even use a powder when I have moisturised and yet not long afterwards my face has a greasy sheen to it.
I'm a bit cr@p when it comes to this beauty lark but now I'm reaching 30 (arghhh 15 days and counting!) I'm starting to need to pay a bit more attention to myself. I just want to look nice and feel a bit of confidence about myself for a change and not think people are looking at me cos I have a shiny face.
Basically I can't work out which moisturiser or foundation is best for me and can't afford to keep trying different ones out.
Any advice, beauty tips etc would be great, thank you :o)

I also give my skin a breather once a week by just using cleanser and no toners or moisturisers for one day a week. I don't know if this does it any good or not but I have done it for years and it has never caused any concerns.
Can't help with foundation don't use make up at all sorry

Hi Wingy!
I have combination skin, and most moisturisers leave me greasy. I now use Clinique Dramatically different GEL and it's great. Goes on really easily and is absorbed instantly, and controls shine really well.
I also use Max Factor Miracle Touch foundation, it is fantastic! It gives a good coverage without looking cakey, doesn't dry out and covers imperfections perfectly. You can order a free sample on the Max factor UK website I think.

Hi Jillius, thanx for your reply, so that's 2 for Liz Earle now :o)
I am hopefully off into our nearest big town next weekend ~Max~ (off to look & pick B'day pressies!!) so will see what they have! I will pester for free samples :o)
I'm just so desperate to have nice skin! but I understand what your saying about it all adding up if it doesn't work for me.
Thanx again girls, I probably wouldnt have even thought or tried these products if it wasn't for you lot and certainly wouldn't know where to begin :o)

Wingnut - Hope i'm not too late.
I am a Beauty Therapist so know about this stuff!
Dermalogica - Active Moisturizer. Moisturises but leaves not a trace of oil, I kid you not! Costs about 25
Foundation - Estee Lauder Double Wear. Costs 21.50.Fabulous coverage, great stickability, good choice of shades and no oil!! It goes on well too, as a lot of oil free foundations do not spread well. Bottle last ages, especially if you spritz your face with water and then apply with a foundation brush. You can buy in The Body Shop for about 10. The store Ethel Austin (don't know if it's just a Merseyside chain) are selling Revlon Foundation brushes for 1 !
