Leaving home, and it's just sinking in...
12 Answers
I dont know why it's just come over me, but i'm just sitting in my room on my laptop listening to music and it's suddenly sunk in - i'm moving out of this city, away from my best friends and away from my family, to go to university and join a brand new life.
starting to realise that i'll really really miss my friends and family, and being able to see them all the time - can't believe i'm finally going out into the real world. it's so scary! just realised how terrified i am...
sorry, just felt like sharing that with people!

Expect to be homesick at first, all new students are, but that wil go as you make new friends, have new experiences and realise that you are coping with living on your own.
Have a wonderful time,it will be the best time of your life.

Hi love, you'll miss them initially, but!! there's so much out there for you to experience! It's scary at first, but you'll make so many friends!! I work among students & the buzz among them is audible! literally! lol! Just got an email tonight from a student who's just graduated & in that email was several pics of different students I had come to know. I'm a cleaner within the Uni & have made some lovely friends! You 'will' love it, promise! xxx
Wow... you are just starting out in life - a new and exciting time is coming up - and I am so jealous lol !.... Honestly, you will have a brilliant time and look back on this period of your life with affection and warmth (I know I did !). Go out there determined to do your best at Uni, have a ball, meet the best people you will ever meet and have a wonderful time ! PS... don't be terrified... you'll be just fine - the best years of your life are about to start !

Don't go.
No actually go, it will be a filtration process, you will soon realise which people matter to you. Some of your friends will no doubt be loyal to you some will not bother. Plus you will meet loads of new folks and receive inspiration and ideas from them. Take my advice if you do get homesick, don't drink it away. You are better to have conquered it all while you are in control, rationalise why you feel homesick and combat that with what is good about the situation you are in. See it as a reward for your efforts, cos that is what it is.
