How are the tunes on adverts actually found? It seems they are often very obscure cover versions of well known or not so well known songs. How does the adbertising agency find these, and who chooses them?

You can be pretty sure that the big ad. agencies have people scouring websites, and various music sources looking for suitable music, and by the same token, anyone making any music these days probably hikes it around the agencies.

The money made from having your music on a big ad. is serious, well worth doing.

Really?! Fabulous! How much have you done so far?
Some publishers have a music library, full of what is known as 'Jingles' mostly for adverts and tv clips.

Of course some adverts take a different outlook and go for something well known and modern.
